Colombia

Bogotá is where I spend the most time when I’m in Colombia, and quite frankly, it’s one of my favorite cities on this entire continent. I’ve lived here long enough to stop looking at it like a visitor.

Once you settle into that high-altitude rhythm, you start to see past the guidebook veneer. It’s a place that’s always shifting, blending a restless, modern energy with a history that feels very present when you’re walking through the streets of La Candelaria.

My goal in this section isn’t to hand you another generic “must-see” list; it’s to share the actual reality of how to move through Colombia. I’m pulling from my own experience living here to help you skip the tourist traps and handle the logistical headaches that catch most travelers off guard.

Whether you’re trying to figure out the best way to traverse the Andes or you just want to know how to navigate the capital like you know what you’re doing, I’ve got you covered. This is all about practical, firsthand insight so that when you arrive, you aren’t leaving your trip to chance—you’re experiencing the real soul of the country.
