I’ve used NordVPN for several years and recommend it. A VPN protects your data while you’re away. And NordVPN allows you to access websites and apps as if you were at home. I won’t travel without NordVPN.

Travel Insurance

Don’t travel without insurance. You can’t predict when you’ll need medical assistance. Or when an airline will lose your luggage. I recommend you use visitorscoverage.com and search for a plan with COVID-19 coverage.

Accommodation

I use a combination of Airbnb and Booking.com. Beware of Expedia, it’s often overpriced.

Mobile SIM & Mobile Data

Don’t buy a travel SIM card online. They’re overpriced crap. Buy a SIM card in the country you visit when you arrive. For how to get a local mobile phone number, we have articles on this website.
