Yes, you can use Zoom in Cuba. You will need a VPN.

We used Zoom coupled with NordVPN and made calls from Cuba to Australia via the 4G LTE network in Havana Cuba. All functions of the app worked well and the video and audio were both crystal clear.

Most Cuban’s do not use Zoom and most Cubans would not know what Zoom is. Do not expect connect with Cubans via Zoom.

WhatsApp is the most commonly used messaging app in Cuba. And workplaces will use WhatsApp for group chats and video conferencing.

If your account uses any form of two-factor authentication you should switch it off before travelling to Cuba. As the phone number linked to your Zoom account will likely not work in Cuba.

If you are logged out and cannot receive the two factor authentication (2fa) code that Zoom sends to your mobile number, you will be locked out of your account until you leave Cuba.
